Hot Bird 13E (13,0 ° E) Transpondeur 133 - KingOfSat

Hi, bonjour. this is my question in english :) :

I have TechniSat TECHNISTAR S2+ and able to re-tune JSTV 1+2 HD and stored to this decorder, but from the moment to select the channel all the signal(quality 0 dB) of both JSTV 1+2 HD going down to zero.

Hot Bird 13E (13.0°E) Transponder 133 - KingOfSat

For clarify nothing to do with their scramble, as during FTA non-scramble hours, also stay zero signal.
And I can watch all pay channels with HD of other companies.

I do think the problems must be relate to
-"technical issue" of TechniSat decorder
As I tried with other company HD decorders (from a friend´s Telestar td 2100 hd and Telestar td 2520 hd), and it was both all right 100% I could watch for hours.

I followed JSTV recommendation to purchased new TechniSat TECHNISTAR S2+, as clearly advicing on their website.

I also using many years watching JSTV SD on my TechniSat DIGIT MF4Se, and I am so used to so much familiar easy handling of settings and remote control uses, I really like to stick with TechniSat decorder just changing from old to this new HD compatible.

Please tell me all technical advices, how to watch JSTV 1+2 HD with TechniSat TECHNISTAR S2, without signal going down to zero (quality 0 dB)?!

Hi Stevy,
I have checked on Kingofsat and what I see is that the TP133 which carries the HD version is in DVB-S2, low band and horizontal polarisation whereas the TP94 which carries the SD version is in DVB-S, high band and vertical polarisation, which can explain your problem (click on picture to see it complete).

Image

In V polarisation the LNB needs a power supply of 12 to 14V whereas in H polarisation it needs 17 to 19V.

Some possible explanations:
-your receiver produces an insufficient voltage in H polarisation (<17 V) or/and the voltage is too much reduced at arrival to the LNB by a very long cable or a bad connexion.
-the LNB configuration of your receiver does not match with the LNB of your dish ("universal LNB" ?),
-your LNB has a problem and does not work in H polarisation even if the voltage is OK (but in this case it should not work with other receivers).

I suggest that you check if you can receive other TPs in H polarisation in both low and high bands and tell us the results.
If you cannot receive any H polarised TP, then it's a problem of too low power supply to the LNB if it works with other receivers.
If you can receive only High band (> 11700 MHz) H polarized TPs, then it's either a problem of LNB configuration (22 kHz always present) or a fault of the receiver.

Question: can you receive the SD version on TP94 with your TECHNISTAR S2 ?
Another possible reason is that DVB-S2 transponders used for HD are generally more difficult to receive than DVB-S transponders used for SD, so they need a more precise adjustment of the dish (including LNB skew) or even (rarely) a bigger dish.

menu - antenna configuration, I cannot see anywhere 22 KHz as such
there selected Single LNB, it shows LOF low 9750 MHz, LOF high 10600, LOF trans. 11700, set unchangeable
but if select User LNB, I can change, should I need to change? if so what MHz for each?
this seems only thing changeable in menu setting?

(I don´t know all technical, and manual is only written in German)
Question: can you receive the SD version on TP94 with your TECHNISTAR S2 ?

yes always
I can receive all SDs, only exception JSTV HD or some other HDs
and sometimes yes and not always get pictures of CNC with 12576 h 27500, and Belarus 24 with 11565 h 29900 for example.

https://en.kingofsat.net/tp.php?tp=906
for JSTV 2 HD somebody told me to scan with 11177 h 27500 instead of 11179 h 27500, I succeed get always video but never audio even during FTA, it displays "audio PID N/A", I hope to fix this audio issue.

If you can receive video and not audio, then it's not a question of LNB or LNB configuration.

From what you describe I have the impression that the signal you receive is too weak, either because your dish is too small or not optimally adjusted.
As already indicated, DVB-S2 transponders used for HD are generally more difficult to receive than DVB-S transponders used for SD, so they need a more precise adjustment of the dish (including LNB skew) or even (rarely) a bigger dish.

Can you receive correctly JSTV HD channels with another receiver ?

Edit:
I just checked with my own receiver (a basic FTA receiver) during the clear period of JSTV2 (both SD and HD) and I receive them perfectly.
I can choose the sound track (japanese or english).

So there is a problem either in your dish (adjustment or size) or your receiver.

By the way, where are you located ?
